New Facebook Page Wows Beauty-Loving Consumers
Facebook First!
HOT Beauty Magazine rolls out Phase 1 of its program to inspire and mentor consumers.

Tired of watching amateurs mete out advice from their bathrooms and bedrooms? We are! "Our pro-beauty voice on the Internet hasn't been taken from us; we've given it away," says Editor-in-Chief Jeryl Spear. "Our new Hot On Beauty Facebook page is just the beginning of our program to insert our opinions and professional advice about beauty in cyberspace. Join us. Like us. Become one of the experts that shares words of wisdom, how-tos and inspirations with the more than 25 million users who use Facebook as a resource for beauty information.

HOT on Beauty supports the pro-beauty industry and every stylist who has spent thousands of hours and even more money on furthering their educations. While it shares tips and information about everything from hair to makeup and nails, it also educates consumers on what's appropriate to do at home and what is not. Here are just a few examples of the info we've already posted on Facebook.com/HotOnBeauty

Ombre Color
Ombre color adds drama and beauty to your hair without requiring frequent maintenance visits. The key is to have this service done by a skilled colorist who's specifically trained in ombre techniques.
Shown: Gorgeous color that goes from pale warm to creamy white blonde by Julian Holland of the U.K.

Matte & Glossy Black
Think you can't wear black nail lacquer?
Think again.
Shown: Matte black with glossy black tips. Beautiful!

Ruffled Braid
If you're into braids and love the ruffled look, here are two pro-beauty tips that will create a mussy ruffle in a flash: For loose braids, complete the entire plait and use your thumb and finger to grasp and lift small strands of hair.
For tighter braids, complete three to four plaits, create ruffles, do three to four more plaits and repeat the process until you're done!

Mermaid Waves
For mermaid waves, set your hair in large, loose curls with the first curl beginning at eye level.
Style your hair with a 100% boar bristle brush, which smooths the waves without destroying the wave pattern. For your final brushing, only brush the outside layers. (Hairstyle: Tasha Stevens of London)
Don't stop here!
We'll be waiting to greet you on Facebook.com/HOTonBeauty
