Winner, Winner, Winners!
The stardust surrounding NAHA 2013 is settling, but the breathtaking images promise to serve as inspirations for many generations to come.

HOT not only salutes the winners of this most prestigious event, but also selects the single most fascinating image in each category!

Category: Avant Garde
Winner: Matt Swinney
A pagan dance; a savage celebration. Whatever Matt Swinney had in mind, his fresh take on NAHA's Avant Garde category blew our minds.

Avant Garde
Editor's Top Image: Nicholas French, Matrix Artistic Director
Flawless craftsmanship. Astounding artistry. Anyone who has ever worked with hair beyond using a brush and comb has to wonder, "How did Nicholas French do this, much less do it so perfectly?"

Category: Master Hairstylist of the Year
Winner: Dimitrios Tsioumas, Goldwell International Artistic Master
Eclectic creativity. Flirty fabulosity. Dimitrios Tsioumas hits it out of the ballpark with his youth-hugging, urban chic NAHA entry.

Category: Master Hairstylist of the Year
Editor's Top Image: Eric Fisher, Owner of Eric Fisher Salons and School, photographer
Intriguing concept. Breathtaking results. Posed like an Egyptian dancer and wrapped in SoHo-chic dress, Eric Fisher ties east-meets-west and ancient-meets-modern with pyramid-shaped panels and strategic color placements. The final element that earned our vote: Fisher created his multifaceted concept with a minimalistic design!

Category: Makeup Artist of the Year
Winner: Katy Albright
Exuding a primitive appeal that's wrapped in neon brights, Katy Albright captivated the pro-beauty world with her aboriginal collection, which screams of a modern-day fashionista turned wild.

Category: Makeup Artist of the Year
HOT Top Image: Janell Geason, Aveda Makeup Director, Global Artistic Team
Using less theater and more classic techniques, Janell Geason creates the ultimate modern Gatsby image through the use of apricot and cherry shades and exceptionally applied liner to accentuate the model's moon-shaped eyes. We love the entire design, with a special call-out to the rosebud-shaped lip application.

Don't stop here!
